SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -Alex Harris scored 14 points and spurred a late first-half surge with a 3-pointer Saturday as he led UC Santa Barbara to a 60-45 victory over UC Davis.
The Gauchos (15-5, 4-3 Big West) led only 13-9 with less than five minutes to go in the first half when Harris hit his 3 and Jordan Weiner added two more.
Mark Payne had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead the Aggies (8-12, 2-5) who shot just 28.6 percent in the first half and 34.8 in the game.
Chris Devine scored 11 of his 12 points in the first half to lead the Gauchos to a 27-13 halftime lead.
UC Santa Barbara has won three of four. UC Davis has lost five of six.
