LORMAN, Miss. (AP) -Mickell Gladness had 19 points and 13 rebounds as Alabama A&M beat Alcorn State 72-68 on Monday night.
All five Bulldogs (5-12, 2-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) starters scored in double figures against the Braves (3-18, 2-6), who have lost five of their last six.
Andrew Williams had 10 points and 12 rebounds, LaNorris Smith and Evan Hilton each scored 13 and Trant Simpson added 12 points and seven assists.
The Bulldogs dominated the Braves on the boards, outrebounding them 42-33, and made 26 of 36 foul shots.
Troy Jackson's 24 points led Alcorn State. Anthony Ford had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Alex Owumi added 17 points.
