MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -Leon Buchanan scored 24 points on 11-of-16 shooting as Morehead State beat Tennessee Tech 80-68 Tuesday night.
Jamyron Steward was 7-of-9 from the floor for Morehead (10-10, 8-5 Ohio Valley Conference), including 5-of-6 from 3-point range, finishing with 19 points. Nikola Stojakovic had a career-high 13 points and also had 14 assists. Demonte Harper scored 12 points.
Anthony Fisher paced Tennessee Tech (9-14, 6-7) with 18 points. Amadi McKenzie added 15 points and 10 rebounds, Will Barnes scored 14 points and Daniel Northern had 11.
The Golden Eagles stayed close by shooting 26-of-37 from the free-throw line, while Morehead State was 9-of-15.
Morehead shot 56.1 percent (32-of-57) from the field while holding Tennessee Tech to 42.6 percent (20-of-47).
