STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -Mike Christensen scored a game-high 25 points and New Hampshire held off Stony Brook 68-60 Wednesday.
Eric Gilchrese added 17 points for the Wildcats (7-13, 4-4 America East), who held a 32-27 lead at halftime.
Ricky Lucas, who had 22 points, was the only double-figure scorer for the Seawolves (4-16, 1-7), who lost their sixth straight.
After New Hampshire took its largest lead 58-44 on a layup by Christensen with 6:01 to play, the Seawolves stormed back with a 14-2 run to pull within 60-58 with 1:44 remaining. Mike Tyree capped the surge with a 3-pointer.
Gilchrese helped the Wildcats clinch the win, hitting six free throws in the final 1:44.
