PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) -Eugene Harvey scored eight of his 26 points in overtime and Seton Hall ended the game with a 13-0 run in defeating Rutgers 84-71 Wednesday night.

Brian Laing added 23 for Seton Hall (15-6, 5-3 Big East), which put four players in double figures in winning its fifth straight. Jeremy Hazell had 14 and Jamar Nutter added 11. Harvey also had seven assists and three steals in playing the entire 45 minutes.

Rutgers (10-12, 2-7), which had beaten two straight ranked teams, got 23 from Mike Coburn and 16 from Chandler.

The Scarlet Knights took their first lead of the game when Coburn scored to make it 69-67 to start overtime. Rutgers' Anthony Farmer hit two foul shots to tie it at 71-71 but the Knights would not score again.

Seton Hall shot 4-for-5 in overtime while Rutgers was 1-for-7. The Pirates played the entire OT without big men John Garcia, Mike Davis and Augustine Okosun, who all fouled out.

Rutgers forced the overtime by scoring six straight in the final 1:06 to tie it at 67-67. Corey Chandler's putback gave the Knights their first tie with 16 seconds left and Harvey missed a driving lay-up attempt at the buzzer.
