CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -Kevin Bridgewaters scored 24 points and missed only 1 shot as Chattanooga held off Georgia Southern 96-91 Thursday night.
Chattanooga (14-7, 9-2 Southern Conference) had a 22-point lead with 11:31 left but Georgia Southern (14-8, 7-5) made it close the last few minutes.
Bridgewaters was 5-of-6 from the floor and 12-of-12 from the free throw line. Nicchaeus Doaks added 15 points, Stephen McDowell scored 14 and Kevin Goffney 12.
Georgia Southern, which trailed 46-35 at halftime, was led by Louis Graham with 27 points and Dwayne Foreman with 23.
Georgia Southern hit just 12-of-32 3-pointers while the Mocs hit 8-of-17.
Chattanooga was 24-of-33 from the free throw line to 11-of-18 for the Eagles.
