NEW YORK (AP) -Mark Porter scored 24 points to lead Wagner to its third straight win, a 68-65 victory over Long Island University on Thursday night.
The Seahawks (15-5, 8-1 Northeast Conference) have won seventh of their last eight games.
Joey Mundweiler added 18 points and Jamal Smith had 14 for Wagner, which led 34-33 at halftime.
The lead changed 16 times and the Blackbirds and Seahawks were tied 10 times.
Jaytornah Wisseh scored 28 points to lead the Blackbirds (10-10, 2-7). He connected on 11-of-15 from the floor, including 4-for-4 on 3-pointers. He also had four assists, four steals and four rebounds.
Kellen Allen added 21 points and a team-high nine rebounds for LIU.
After Wisseh's layup at 3:07 tied it for the last time, 62-62, Smith followed with a layup with 2:38 to play that gave Wagner a 64-62 lead.
Porter hit two free throws at 1:41 to increase the advantage to 66-62, but Wisseh hit a 3-pointer to make it 66-65 with 10 seconds to play.
Llew Radford's two foul shots with 9 seconds remaining sealed the win.
The Blackbirds had one final chance, but Eugene Kotorobai's 3-pointer with 4 seconds left went off the rim.
