DEKALB, Ill. (AP) -Senior Leon Williams scored 20 points, including ten rebounds, to lead Ohio in a 73-55 win over Northern Illinois Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center.
Jerome Tillman added 17 points, including three assists, on 7-for-10 shooting for the Bobcats (15-6, 6-2 Mid-American). Bubba Walther scored 15 points and had six assists and three 3-pointers for Ohio.
The Bobcats led 40-20 over the Huskies (5-15, 2-6) at the half. The game featured three lead changes; the score was tied twice.
Ohio shot 25-for-52 from the field, or 48 percent, compared with the Huskies' 20-for-51, or 39 percent.
Sean Smith scored 19 points and was 3-for-3 from the free throw line. Darion Anderson was the only other Northern Illinois player in the double digits. He chipped in 16 points, including eight rebounds and three assists.
