NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) -Freshman Ken Horton had a career-high 26 points as Central Connecticut stunned Northeast Conference leader Wagner 89-63 Saturday.

Tristan Blackwood added 18 points for Central (10-12, 6-5 NEC), and set a new conference record of 304 career 3-pointers. The old mark was 300.

Mark Porter led Wagner (15-6, 8-2 NEC) with 18 points, while Durell Vinson and James Ulrich each chipped in 12.

The Blue Devils pulled away early in the second half. Horton scored the first four points of the half and sparked a 10-2 run. He hit a 3-pointer that put Central up 63-53 at the 12:50 mark. Central coasted from there, leading by as many as 26 points down the stretch.

The first half was tight. The Blue Devils tried for the last shot before the break, but Porter stole the ball and scored with four seconds left to put the Seahawks up 39-38 at halftime.

Marcus Palmer had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Central.
