EUGENE, Ore. (AP)Tajuan Porter scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers to lead Oregon past Oregon State, 79-63 Saturday.

Bryce Taylor added 17 points for the Ducks (13-8, 4-5), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Maarty Leunen added 12.

Porter was 8-for-13 from the field overall and 5-for-8 from the 3-point line. He scored 10 points during a late 19-4 run by Oregon that turned a 57-56 lead into a 76-60 advantage with 2:27 to play.

Freshman guard Calvin Haynes had a career-high 17 points for the Beavers (6-15, 0-9), who lost their 11th straight game. Calvin Hampton added 10 points.

Oregon State, which never led after losing its early 6-3 advantage, kept it close until a 7-1 run midway through the second half that nearly tied the game.

With 8:16 to play, Roeland Schaftenaar went to the foul line for the Beavers with his team trailing 57-55.

The sophomore forward made the first shot but missed the second and Leunen recorded a three-point play at the other end to spark the Ducks' game-changing run.

Porter made three 3-pointers during a stretch that gave Oregon four of them in a row.

Oregon, which leads Pac-10 in scoring at 80.4 points per game, shot 53 percent from the field and made 10 of 20 3-point attempts.

Oregon State, last in the conference in scoring average and shooting efficiency, shot 44 percent from the field.

The Civil War, as it is popularly known, was the 328th game between the in-state rivals.

The rivalry has been played more times than any other in Division I.
