EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) -A.J. Jackson scored 20 points, and Robert Morris matched the school record for consecutive road wins with a 75-63 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday night.
Tony Lee had 16 points, and Jeremy Chappel had 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Colonials (17-6, 8-2 Northeast Conference), who won their sixth straight road game and improved to 10-2 away from home this season. Robert Morris has won 10 of 11 overall.
Chris Vann led the Mountaineers (10-12, 6-5) with 22 points on 6-of-18 shooting. Mount St. Mary's has lost eight of 12 since a six-game winning streak in December.
The Mountaineers had scored 97 points in their previous game, their highest total in eight years. But they shot just 29.6 percent in the first half and went 11:32 without a field goal during a stretch that bridged halftime. Robert Morris took control of the game with a 23-3 run during the Mount's cold spell.
Mount St. Mary's took a 20-16 lead with 8:24 left in the first half, but didn't hit another field goal until after halftime and trailed 32-22 at the break. The Mountaineers missed 14 straight attempts as the Colonials built a 16-point lead.
Mount St. Mary's never pulled closer than nine points the rest of the way.
