PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) -Darrion Griffin was the only player for Jackson State to score more than 9 points Monday night, but his 19 points led the Tigers to a 55-51 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Jackson State (7-15, 5-4 Southwestern Athletic Conference) trailed 31-25 at intermission, but UAPB (9-11, 5-4) made only 3 of 12 free throws in the second half.
The Golden Lions were even worse from long distance, hitting only 1-of-13 for the game.
William Byrd led UAPB with 15 points, and Larry Williams scored 14.
