GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -Rashad West scored 17 points to lead Hampton to a 68-52 victory over North Carolina A&T in game in which neither team could muster 50 percent field-goal shooting.
Matthew Pilgrim scored 14 points for Hampton (13-7, 7-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), and Vincent Simpson added 13.
Thomas Coleman got 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Aggies (11-10, 5-3 MEAC), and Austin Ewing also had 10 points.
The Pirates shot just 42.6 percent for the game, but that was better than the Aggies, who only managed 30 percent.
Hampton led 37-29 at halftime and was never threatened.
