MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -Andrew Hayles had 24 points to lead Alabama State to a 98-86 win over Prairie View A&M Monday night.
Prairie View outrebounded Alabama State 40-35 and shot 56.3 percent to the Hornets' 49.2 percent. Alabama State had a margin of eight points, 46-38, going into the half.
Joel Bosh had a double-double for the Hornets with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Roland Fitch added 14 more points and Brandon Brooks added 13 more.
Brian Ezeh was the game high scorer and had 26 points for Prairie View. Jacoie Shivers and Tarrence Garrison also scored in the double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
