ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) -Jamal Breaux had 18 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists as Grambling State beat Mississippi Valley State 83-79 on Monday.
Andrew Prestley led Grambling (4-12, 4-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) with 24 points and Anthony Williams added 16 points and 11 rebounds. Andre' Ratliff scored 12 points.
Grambling State led much of the first half but lost the lead on Valley's (7-13) 12-2 run.
The Tigers took the lead back in the second half on a 9-1 run.
The game was tied at 55-all with 7:10 left when Grambling went on a 11-3 run and took the lead for good.
Stanford Speech led Valley with 26 points, Larry Cox scored 18 and Carl Lucas chipped in 16.
