OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -P'Allen Stinnett scored a career-high 24 points to lead Creighton to a 74-50 win over Northern Iowa on Tuesday.

The freshman hit 10 of his 15 shots, including four of seven from 3-point range, in 22 minutes of playing time as the Bluejays (16-6) won their second straight game to improve to 7-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Panthers (14-9), winners of four of their past five coming in, fell to 6-6 in league play.

Creighton scored 21 of the game's first 28 points and led 33-18 at the break. Stinnett scored 17 first-half points on 7-of-10 shooting as the Jays shot 50 percent from the field (14 of 28) before intermission.

UNI had five turnovers in its first nine possessions and was 7-for-25 from the floor in the first half. The 18-point total was the lowest for the Panthers in a half this season.

It wasn't much different in the second half. Creighton's lead grew to 21 points two minutes into the half and reached 32 at one point.

Booker Woodfox scored seven consecutive points for the Jays at one point in the second half and joined Stinnett in double figures with 11 points.

Travis Brown and Carlton Reed each had eight points for the Panthers.
