NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Herb Courtney sank a three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left to give Delaware a dramatic 68-67 win over UNC Wilmington in Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball on Wednesday night.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Blue Hens (7-5, 10-12) and gave them their fourth win over the Seahawks (8-4, 15-9) in 16 all-time meetings.

Courtney's shot gave Delaware only its second lead of the night and its first since the opening minutes.

After Courtney's basket, the Seahawks' attempt at a long inbounds pass hit the overhead scoreboard, turning the ball over to the Hens. Courtney was fouled immediately with 1.1 seconds remaining but missed both foul shots, the second intentionally.

UNC Wilmington's Todd Hendley ran down the rebound and got off a-length-of-the-court shot that hit the rim just after the final buzzer.

The Seahawks led by as many as 15 points in the first half and were still ahead by nine when T.J. Carter hit a three-pointer to make it 64-55 with 3:25 left.

But Delaware finished the game on a 13-3 run. UNC Wilmington also made just three of its six foul shots in the final minute.

Four players scored in double figures for the Hens, including Brian Johnson (15 points), Edwin Santiago (15), Courtney (13) and Marc Egerson (11).

Carter scored a game-high 18 points for UNC Wilmington with Hendley adding 17 and Daniel Fountain scoring 13.

Leading by four points at halftime, UNC Wilmington stretched its lead to as many nine points early in the second half.

Delaware closed within 64-61 on Brian Johnson's three-pointer with 2:17 on the clock and then got within one point twice in the final 23 seconds.

The Seahawks built a 15-point first-half lead, going up 27-12 when Chad Tomko buried a three-pointer from the corner with 6:30 left before halftime.

But Delaware responded with a 17-7 run that left UNC Wilmington with a 34-29 halftime lead.

The Seahawks sank 6-of-8 three-point attempts in the first half as Fountain and Hendley were a combined 4-for-4. Fountain and Hendely scored 10 points apiece in the first half.

Santiago came off the bench to net 11 first-half points for Delaware, which shot just 36.1 percent (13-of-36) before intermission. The Hens forced UNC Wilmington into 12 first-half turnovers.
