DAVIS, Calif (AP) -Donovan Morris scored 26 points to push Long Beach State to a 62-52 win over UC Davis on Thursday night.
Morris was the only player to score in double-figures for the 49ers, who snapped a five-game losing streak and pulled itself out of last place in the Big West.
David Carter led with 17 points and Vince Oliver added 10 for the Aggies, who struggled offensively for most of the night.
Long Beach (5-16, 2-7 Big West) opened the game with an 11-0 run and led 32-17 at halftime. The 49ers would lead by as many as 21 points after halftime.
The 49ers have won twice in their last 12 games, both against UC Davis.
UC Davis (8-14, 2-7) shot just 33 percent in the game and could never get closer than 11 in the second half.
