SACRAMENTO (AP) -Kellen Williams had 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead Eastern Washington to its first conference road victory, beating Sacramento State 59-57 on Thursday night.

Brandon Moore added 11 points and five rebounds for the Eagles (9-16, 4-7).

Clark Woods had 16 points, four assists, and two steals and Jason Davis scored 12 points for the Hornets (4-17, 2-8).

Tied at 54, Vinnie McGhee Jr.'s three-point play put the Hornets up with 1:52 remaining. Moore was fouled twice by Sacramento State but only managed to hit two of four free throws to tie the game again at 57-57.

When McGhee missed the front end of a one-and-one free-throw attempt with 24 seconds to go, Trey Gross was fouled driving to the basket and hit the deciding two free throws with 2.6 seconds on the clock to give the Eagles the two-point victory.

The Hornets completed a 9-2 run on a basket by Clark Woods to make the score 27-18 with 3:19 left in first half. Sacramento State led 31-25 at halftime.
