Cornell 72, Princeton 61

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) -Ryan Wittman scored 20 points and Jeff Foote added 18 to lead Cornell to a 72-61 win over Princeton in Ivy League basketball Friday.

Wittman and Foote combined to hit 13-of-18 shots as Cornell shot 54 percent from the floor for the game, including 65 percent in the first half.

Adam Gore added 10 points for Cornell (13-5, 5-0), while Louis Dale scored and eight points and had seven rebounds. Whittman had a game-high eight rebounds and hit 4-of-5 three-pointers. Overall, Cornell was 7-of-15 on three pointers.

Kyle Koncz led Princeton (5-13, 2-1) with 19 points, while Kevin Steurer added 17.

Zach Finley scored 10 for Princeton as the Tigers hit 12-of-23 from beyond the arc to keep the game within reach the entire way.
