LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -Aleks Maric scored 22 points and grab 14 rebounds as Nebraska turned back a Texas Tech rally in the second half to beat the Red Raiders 73-62 on Saturday.

Nebraska (14-7, 3-5 Big 12) led by 12 at halftime and was up 18 points after Cookie Miller's 3-pointer made the score 60-42 midway through the second frame. But Texas Tech (12-10, 3-5) went on a 13-2 run, and Mike Singletary's jumper cut the Nebraska lead to 62-55. The Huskers countered with a 8-3 spurt that put the game out of reach.

Nebraska took control of the game with a 21-2 run after trailing by 8-points. The Huskers got a three-point play on Miller's driving layup with 12:20 remaining, then held the Red Raiders to just one field goal in the next seven minutes.

Maric scored 17 first-half points for the Huskers. Ryan Anderson finished with 19 points, Steve Harley had 12 and Miller had 10.

Singletary scored 10 points for Texas Tech.

Texas Tech coach Pat Knight, who succeeded his father Bob on Monday, lost for the second time in the week. The Red Raiders lost to Baylor 80-74 Wednesday.
