EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -Zach Trader scored 17 points to help lead Texas-Pan American to an 86-68 victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Tuesday night.
Brian Burrell added 16 points and Danny Puente had 15, all on 3-pointers, for Texas-Pan American (16-13). Dexter Shankle scored 12. Paul Stoll had eight points, 14 assists and six steals.
Terrence Johns led Cal State Bakersfield (7-17) with 19 points. Zack Grasmick had 11 points and Demarcus Hall came off the bench to score 10.
The Broncs took the lead for good with 10:55 left in the first half on a 3-pointer by Puente. They then used a 13-2 run to take a 29-18 lead with 7:45 left in the first half.
Texas-Pan American led 43-26 at halftime.
The Broncs shot 53 percent from the field to 38 percent for Cal State Bakersfield.
