FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) -Lee Cummard scored 22 points, Trent Plaisted added 21 and Brigham Young won its seventh straight, beating Colorado State 79-65 on Wednesday night.

The Rams have now dropped 11 in a row, their longest skid since losing 13 straight in the 1949-50 season.

With the win, BYU (19-5, 8-1 Mountain West) sets up a conference showdown with UNLV (19-5, 8-2) on Saturday in Provo, Utah. The Rebels beat BYU 70-41 on Jan. 15, but the Cougars have won 43 straight at home, the second-longest active streak in the nation.

Colorado State (6-18, 0-10) was led in scoring by Stuart Creason with 24 points, one shy of his career high. It was Creason's second game back since sitting out nine contests with a foot ailment.

Andre McFarland added 15 points for Colorado State while Marcus Walker, the conference's leading scorer, was held to just seven points on 2-of-18 shooting. Walker came in averaging 18.5 points.

BYU led by as many as 19 points in the second half only to see Colorado State trim the deficit to 67-59 with 5:16 remaining. The Cougars held on down the stretch to improve to 19-0 when leading with 5 minutes left in the game.

BYU has now beaten CSU in six of the last seven meetings.

Plaisted finished 9-for-9 from the field and also had five rebounds. Jonathan Tavernari had 10 boards and 10 points while Ben Murdock added 13 points and six assists.

Colorado State was playing without junior guard Willis Gardner (separated shoulder) and sophomore center Ronnie Aguilar (left ankle injury). Gardner is averaging 10.5 points this season and Aguilar 6.5 rebounds.
