BOSTON (AP) -Ryan Wittman had 20 points and Alex Tyler added 19 points and 10 rebounds as Cornell rallied from a double-digit, second-half deficit to beat Harvard 72-71 on Friday night and earn its ninth consecutive victory.
Drew Housman scored 18 and Jeremy Lin had 15 points and four steals as Harvard lost its sixth straight game. The Crimson led by as many as 11 in the second half and led 71-66 on Jeremy Lin's 3-pointer with 42 seconds left.
Tyler answered with a put-back and, after a Crimson turnover, added a hook shot that drew a goaltending call with 9.3 seconds to play. Harvard was unable to inbound the ball, and Tyler converted an uncontested layup off a feed from Louis Dale.
Dale had six of his 12 points in the final three minutes for Cornell (15-5, 7-0 Ivy League). Harvard (6-17, 1-6) was outrebounded 35-23 by the Big Red, which has seven players on the roster 6-foot-7 or taller, including 7-footer Jeff Foote (nine points, seven rebounds).
Harvard missed nine consecutive shots from the floor over a five-minute span early in the first half. Trailing 22-15, the Crimson rallied to pull within one, 30-29, with two minutes to play in the first half.
Cornell led at the break, 34-29.
