DETROIT (AP) - Jon Goode scored 18 of his 23 points in the second half Saturday to lead Detroit to its second straight win, a 56-53 victory over Loyola (Ill.).
Goode made four straight 3-pointers early in the second half as the Titans won back-to-back Horizon League games for the first time this season.
The Ramblers (9-16, 5-10) cut the lead to 54-53 on Aric Van Weeldon's 3-pointer with 14.1 seconds left. But Goode made a pair of free throws and partially blocked J.R. Blount's desperation triple attempt in the closing seconds.
Zach Everingham started a 12-4 run midway through the second half that gave the Titans the lead for good. He finished with a season-best 15 points and seven rebounds for Detroit (7-18, 3-12).
Andy Polka and reserve Leon Young scored 11 points apiece for Loyola, which led 23-18 at intermission. Polka also snared 11 rebounds.
