KENT, Ohio (AP) -Al Fisher scored 17 points and Chris Singletary added 16 to lead Kent State past Ohio 72-62 on Saturday.

The Golden Flashes (21-5, 10-2 Mid-American Conference) shot 65 percent from the field in the second half while running their home record to 15-0 this season.

Bubba Walther had 22 points off the bench for the Bobcats (16-9, 7-5), hitting 5-of-7 3-pointers. Leon Williams added 13 points and 12 rebounds, Allen Hester had 12 points and Jerome Tillman 11.

Tillman's layup with 9:59 left cut the Kent State lead to 46-44, but the Golden Flashes ran off nine of the next 10 points to go up 55-45 by the 5:54 mark. Haminn Quaintance, who finished with 12 points, scored the first five points in the spurt, with Jordan Mincy adding a layup and Singletary chipped in with two free throws.

The lead never dropped below seven points again.

The victory stretched Kent State's lead to three games in the MAC's East Division.
