LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) -Tim Clifford scored 18 points and Holy Cross hit 27 of 33 free throws to beat Bucknell 63-53 on Saturday.
Kyle Cruze contributed 16 points for Holy Cross (14-10, 5-6 Patriot League), which won its third game in a row.
Justin Castleberry scored 13 points and Stephen Tyree added 11 for Bucknell (10-15, 5-6).
Holy Cross led 27-26 at the half in a game that featured five ties and 10 lead changes. Neither team led by more than six until the final seconds.
Bucknell took its last lead, 46-45, on a Darryl Shazier free throw with 5:35 left. But Holy Cross regained the lead for good on an Alex Vander Baan hook shot with 4:19 remaining.
A 3-pointer by Rob Thomas got the Bison within 52-51 with 3:22 left to play, but Vander Baan sank two free throws and Colin Cunningham hit a 3-pointer to put the game away.
