NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -Larry Vickers' jumper with 2:31 left lifted Norfolk State to a 65-63 win over Delaware State on Saturday night.
Norfolk State (13-10, 9-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 70 percent (16-of-23) from the floor in the second half in avenging a 15-point loss to the Hornets on Jan. 19.
Corey Lyons led Norfolk State with 15 points and Tony Murphy and Michael Deloach had 13 apiece.
Delaware State (10-13, 7-4) led 36-30 early in the second half. Murphy hit a 3-pointer and a jumper 47 seconds apart to give Norfolk State its first lead after halftime, 50-48, with 11:46 remaining.
The score was tied four times after that, including when Roy Bright hit a 3-pointer for Delaware State with 3:19 left to make it 63-63.
Bright led all scorers with 29 points, including seven 3-pointers.
