CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -Chris Moore scored 20 points to lead Charleston Southern back from a 16-point second half deficit to beat High Point 81-77 in Big South Conference action Saturday night.
The Buccaneers (8-17, 2-8) were cold early in the second half as the Panthers went on a 23-7 run to turn a 42-42 halftime tie into a 65-49 lead. Charleston Southern used a 12-0 run midway through the second half to cut the deficit to a more manageable 65-61.
A 6-0 run in the closing minute and half put the Bucs up for good at 75-73. Moore hit four key free throws in the last minute to hold off High Point's comeback attempt.
Omar Carter added 19 points and Jamarco Warren scored 10 for Charleston Southern.
High Point (14-11, 6-5) was led by Arizona Reid with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Mike Jefferson added 18 points, Eugene Harris had 14 and David Campbell scored 10.
