VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -Jarryd Loyd came off the bench to score 18 points and lead Valparaiso to a 77-58 victory over Youngstown State in the Horizon League on Saturday.
Jake Diebler added 14 points, Bryan Bouchie scored 11 and Shawn Huff had 10 for the Crusaders (15-11, 6-8 Horizon). Bouchie also had a game-high seven rebounds.
Byron Davis led Youngstown State (8-18, 4-12) with 18 points and Dwight Holmes and Vytas Sulskis added 10 each for the Penguins.
Valparaiso led 32-22 at halftime and pulled away with good shooting, hitting 15-of-24 field goals in the second period. The Crusaders outscored Youngstown State 30-14 in the paint.
