PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -Jeremiah Dominguez scored 17 points, including the final eight points of the game for Portland State, to lead the Vikings to a 76-73 win over Weber State on Saturday night.
Andre Murray and Scott Morrison each scored 14 points for Portland State (17-8, 10-2 Big Sky Conference), which won its eighth straight game and padded their first-place position in the league race. Deonte Huff added 12 points.
Kellen McCoy came off the bench to lead Weber State (12-12, 7-5 Big Sky) with 21 points. Daviin Davis added 20 points for the Wildcats.
After a back-and-forth game that saw 20 lead changes, Dominguez broke a 68-68 tie with a running jumper with 2:10 left to play to give Portland State a 70-68 advantage.
Down the stretch, Dominguez connected on six straight free throws to hold off the Wildcats' run. A last-second shot to tie by Weber State's Juan Pablo Silveira hit the back of the rim and secured the Vikings victory.
