HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) -Garrison Carr scored 24 points to lead American University in a 68-60 win over Colgate Sunday.
Derrick Mercer contributed 18 points for American (16-10, 8-3 Patriot League).
American trailed 34-25 at halftime, but rebounded in the second half.
They took the lead at the 13:20 mark on one of six three-pointers by Carr.
Colgate built up its first quarter lead with solid shooting, hitting 13-of-24 and four-of-eight from behind the arc.
Kyle Roemer led Colgate (12-13, 4-7 PL) with 20 points and Kendall Chones contributed 10.
The Eagles' comeback started early in the second half, when Bryce Simon hit a three-pointer. Travis Lay followed up with a three-point play to cut the deficit to three points less than two minutes into the half.
