ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -Ray Barbosa had 27 points and Darryl Proctor added 22 points and 10 rebounds as UMBC beat the University at Albany 81-77 in overtime on Wednesday.
The Retrievers (19-7, 11-2 AE), who have won seven in a row, clinched a share of the America East Conference's regular-season crown.
Albany (13-13, 8-6) came from 12 down in the final period to force the overtime. Barbosa, who had 20 second-half points, made a pair of free throws with 3.3 seconds remaining for 68-65 lead. Albany's Brent Wilson then threw a three-quarter court pass to Brian Lillis, who made a 3-pointer with three-tenths of a second to play to tie the score.
In overtime, UMBC took a quick lead that it never relinquished.
Lillis had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Great Danes. Wilson, Jerel Hastings and Tim Ambrose each had 10 points.
