FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) -Will Thomas scored 18 of his game-high 24 points in the second half, and George Mason beat Delaware 70-58 on Wednesday, giving head coach Jim Larranaga his 400th career victory.

Delaware (11-15, 8-9 CAA) had no answer for Thomas in the second half, as he recorded 14 rebounds for his fifth consecutive double-double and his 14th this season. Larranaga pulled Thomas with less than a minute left to a standing ovation.

Folarin Campbell added 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting for George Mason (19-8, 11-5 CAA), which has now won five of its last seven games.

Meanwhile, the loss is the sixth in eight games for the Blue Hens, who have also dropped six of seven all-time at the Patriot Center.

After a slow start which included an early missed dunk by Louis Birdsong, the Patriots went on a 10-1 run, and led 32-21 at halftime.

Early in the second, Delaware cut the lead to six points, but the Patriots responded with a 14-4 run capped off by three consecutive field goals by Thomas.

Mason's inside game was the difference in the win, scoring 52 points in the paint and out-rebounding the Blue Hens 40-31.

Marc Egerson led Delaware with 15 points on just 4-of-13 shooting and Herb Courtney added12.
