BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) -Grayson Flittner hit a school-record nine 3-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points to lead Gardner-Webb to a 96-70 win over East Tennessee State on Thursday.
Thomas Sanders added 26 points and 16 rebounds for his 17th double-double of the season for the hot-shooting Runnin' Bulldogs (14-13, 8-5 Atlantic Sun).
Flittner hit 9 of 12 3-pointers to set a single-season school record with 88. The Bulldogs hit 11-of-19 3s overall and shot 57 percent from the field to complete a season sweep of the Buccaneers (15-12, 9-5).
Gardner-Webb outscored ETSU 43-22 over the final 12 minutes in its fourth straight win.
Kevin Tiggs scored 24 points and Courtney Pigram added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Bucs, who have lost three of four following a six-game winning streak.
ETSU shot just 4-of-25 from 3-point range.
