NEW YORK (AP) -Mark McAndrew and Damon Huffman sparked an 18-0 run to help Brown beat Columbia 67-52 on Friday night for its sixth straight victory.
Brown (15-8, 7-2 Ivy League) trailed by nine points, 33-24, with 2:50 left in the first half when Huffman started the run with a pair of free throws.
McAndrew, who led the Bears with 18 points, added five points during the run that gave Brown a 42-33 lead with 13:03 to play.
Columbia (12-12, 5-4) failed to score for 11:14 and had eight turnovers over that span.
Niko Scott led the Lions with a career-high 24 points.
Huffman and Peter Sullivan finished with 16 points each for the Bears, while McAndrew became the 21st player in Brown history to surpass 1,000 career points, raising his total to 1,010.
Columbia pulled within five, 42-37, on Scott's baseline jumper with 10:49 remaining but Huffman and McAndrew hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead to 11 at 50-39.
