JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -Travis Strong and Kevin Tiggs had 20 points each and ETSU beat Tennessee Tech 88-80.

The Bucs jumped out to an early lead Saturday, leading by as much as 20 points in the middle of the first half and ending the half ahead 51-39.

Tennessee Tech (12-18, 9-10 Ohio Valley Conference) fought its way back in the second, taking the lead for the first and only time on a layup by Amadi McKenzie that made the score 65-63 with 11 minutes to go. A 3-pointer by Strong put ETSU (16-12, 9-5 Atlantic Sun Conference) ahead again and the Bucs never trailed after that.

Also scoring for ETSU were Courtney Pigram with 15 and Kenyona Swader with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Daniel Northern led Tennessee Tech with 22 points and 11 rebounds. McKenzie also had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Also helping Tech were Rashaud Nixon with 12 points and Anthony Fisher with 11.
