ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -Jason Flagler had 21 points and 13 rebounds to lead South Carolina State to a 97-86 upset of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference co-leader Norfolk State on Saturday.
Jessie Burton added 20 points and Everett Spencer scored 16 for the Bulldogs (10-17, 6-7), who shot 55 percent and rallied from a five-point halftime deficit by making 22 of their 35 shots in the final 20 minutes.
Julius Carter had 14 points and Jason Johnson added 12 for South Carolina State, which led by 14 in its third straight victory.
Corey Lyons and Tony Murphy each scored 23 points for Norfolk State (14-11, 10-3), which was just 3-of-16 from 3-point range. Michael Deloach added 16 points for the Spartans.
