NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -Gerald Lee scored 20 points, including the go-ahead shot, to lead Old Dominion to a 65-55 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
A 3-pointer by Justin Castleberry put Bucknell ahead 45-43 with 6:17 left on the clock, but Darius James followed with a layup seconds later to tie it up. Lee hit a layup with 5:08 on the clock to give the Monarchs (16-13) the lead for good in the ESPN BracketBusters game.
Frank Hassell had 10 points and eight rebounds and Brian Henderson added another 10 points for Old Dominion.
John Griffin had 19 points, hitting five 3-pointers, and Castleberry, G.W. Boon and Darren Mastropaolo each added eight for the Bison (11-16).
Old Dominion outshot Bucknell 48 to 46 percent and outrebounded the Bison 34-27.
