BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) -Darren Hopkins scored 22 points and Kenny Dawkins and Todd Currye added 20 apiece to lead Lamar to a 103-95 win over Northwestern State on Friday night.

Justin Nabors had 12 points for the Cardinals (17-8, 11-1 Southland), who won their 10th straight.

Colby Bergeman scored a career-high 30 points for Northwestern State (12-15, 8-5). Trey Gilder scored 23 points, and Damon Jones had 12 for the Demons.

The score was tied six times, and the lead changed four times in the shootout.

The Cardinals led 55-48 at the half before making a 22-10 run to open the second half. The Cardinals led by as many as 21 before the Demons got as close as six points in the final minute of play.

Lamar outscored the Demons 32-23 at the free throw line.
