LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -Reggie Williams had 34 points and 12 rebounds as VMI rallied late in the second period to beat Liberty 81-79 on Tuesday night.
The Keydets (14-13 6-7 Big South Conference) trailed 71-64 on a 3-pointer by Liberty's Kyle Ohman with 6:41 to play before going on a 17-8 run.
The Flames (14-15, 6-7) used an early second-half rally to take the a 48-47 lead with 15:19 to play after trailing 41-36 at the half. VMI led by as many as 19-6 early in the first half.
Chavis Holmes added 25 points for VMI, who scored 21 points off turnovers.
Anthony Smith led the Flames with 23 points and 11 rebounds, Alex McLean had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Jeremy Anderson had 14 points and Ohman had 11.
