STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -D.J. Jackson completed a three-point play with just under 20 seconds left to lift Penn State to a 65-64 comeback victory over Iowa on Wednesday night.

Jackson completed a putback attempt with 18.1 seconds left despite a foul by Dan Bohall to tie the game 64-64, then hit the free throw to give the Nittany Lions the win.

Jamelle Cornley had 22 points and Danny Morrissey chipped in 14 for Penn State (13-14, 5-10 Big 10), which has a three-game winning streak at home for the first time since 2000.

Jake Kelly led the Hawkeyes (12-17, 5-11) with 17 points and Tony Freeman had 14 points. Justin Johnson, who entered the game ranked second in 3-pointers in the Big Ten, added 12 points, all on treys.

Penn State led 31-30 at the half but trailed for much of the second period after the Hawkeyes went on an early 17-0 run to grab a 42-31 lead with 17:18 left. Dan Bohall made four straight free throws to give Iowa a 64-57 lead with 2:40 remaining.

Jamelle Cornley hit a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer by Talor Battle brought the Lions within 64-62 with 1:05 left. Jackson's 3-point play gave them the lead. Freeman and Kelly missed attempts to end the game.
