GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -Kyle Hines scored 26 points Thursday night to help North Carolina-Greensboro beat Chattanooga 87-64.
Mikko Koivisto added 22 points for the Spartans (17-11, 11-8 Southern Conference) on the night the school honored Hines by retiring his No. 42 jersey. Hines is the school?s all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker.
Marcus Watts had 22 points for the Mocs (17-12, 12-7), while Nicchaeus Doaks added 17.
The Spartans led 40-24 at halftime and pushed that margin to as many as 28 points after the break. UNC-Greensboro scored 39 points off 28 turnovers, with Hines and Kevin Oleksiak (18 points) each tallying four of the Spartans' 16 steals.
