ORONO, Maine (AP) -Ray Barbosa scored 31 points to lead Maryland-Baltimore County to an 85-68 victory over Maine on Thursday night.
After Maine scored 13 straight points to pull even at 32 at the half, Barbosa scored 8 points as UMBC broke the last tie with a 15-3 burst, and Maine never caught up.
Jay Greene added 11 points and 14 assists for UMBC (21-7, 13-2 America East).
Kaimondre Owes had 17 points, 15 in the first half, for Maine (7-21, 3-12) and Mark Socoby added 11.
