Army 54, Bucknell 51

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) -Jarell Brown scored 13 points leading Army to a 54-51 win over Bucknell in Patriot League basketball Saturday.

Brown also grabbed 6 rebounds and made 3-of-10 buckets from beyond the arc.

Cleveland Richard was the only other Army player who scored in double digits, adding 11 points in the Black Knights' win. Army (13-15, 6-8) shot 44.4 percent overall and was 4-of-13 on 3-pointers.

Darren Mastropaolo scored 11 points, and Stephen Tyree added 10 points and 6 rebounds for Bucknell.

The Bison (11-18, 6-8) shot 37.7 percent overall and made 4-of-20 from beyond the arc.

Army built an 11-point lead at the break, shooting 54.2 percent including 4-of-6 from three-point range in the first half. The Bison hit 45.8 percent of their shots before halftime and were just 3-of-11 from beyond the arc.

Both teams struggled on the offensive end in the second half. The Black Knights were 7-of-21 from the floor while Bucknell hit just 9 of 29 second-half field goal attempts.
