OXFORD, Ohio (AP) -Michael Bramos scored Miami (Ohio)'s first nine points and finished with 31 as the RedHawks beat cold-shooting Ohio 73-49 on Saturday night.

Kenny Hayes added 12 points and Tim Pollitz had 10 for the RedHawks (14-13, 8-6 Mid-American Conference).

Bramos got Miami off and running and the Bobcats (18-10, 8-6) never recovered. The RedHawks led 37-14 at the half and by as many as 29 points early in the second half.

Leon Williams had 13 points and Bert Whittington 11 for Ohio, which shot just 19 percent from the field in the opening half and improved only slightly in the second 20 minutes to end up at 25 percent for the game.

The RedHawks also hit 22 of 30 free throws to 14 of 18 for the Bobcats.
