MONROE, La. (AP) -Shane Edwards and John Fowler scored 10 points each to lead Arkansas-Little Rock over Louisiana-Monroe 59-55 on Saturday.

UALR (19-10, 11-7 Sun Belt) led for much of the game, but never by more than seven points.

Louisiana-Monroe's last lead, 35-32, came on shots by Jonas Brown, who led the Wareagles (10-20, 4-14 Sun Belt) with 19 points.

Matt Mouzy, who finished with eight points for UALR, hit a 3-point shot for the game's final tie at 35-all with about 11 1/2 minutes left, and John Fowler hit a layup with less than 11 minutes left to put UALR ahead for good. Steven Moore also had eight points for UALR.

Afam Nweke had eight for Louisiana-Monroe.
