WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -Joe Zeglinski scored 13 points and added five assists, leading the University of Hartford over UMBC 58-57 Sunday.
Junior Michael Turner recorded his third double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and junior Warren McLendon and freshman Morgan Sabia added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Hartford (16-15, 10-6 America East) ends the regular season with a winning record for the first time since 2002-03.
UMBC senior post Cavell Johnson led all scorers with a season high of 24 points. He added ten rebounds as Johnson and junior forward Darryl Proctor each posted double-doubles.
UMBC (21-8, 13-3) shot only 33.3 percent from the floor, hitting 22 of 66 field goal attempts, a season-low in conference play.
