Vermont 89, Maine 58

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -Mike Trimboli scored 24 points to lead Vermont over Maine 89-58 and help the Catamounts earn the fourth seed in the America East tournament Sunday.

Maine (7-22, 3-13) scored the first four points, but Vermont (15-14, 9-7) scored the next 14 and 19 of 21. Maine never got closer than six again as Vermont shot 56 percent to take a 49-30 lead at the half.

Sean McNally had 16 points and Kaimondre Owes 15 for Maine.

Kyle Cieplicki and Marqus Blakely each added 13 for Vermont.
