PHILADELPHIA (AP) -Louis Dale matched his career high with 24 points as Cornell rallied in the second half and held off a furious Penn rally, defeating the Quakers 94-92 Friday night to snap an 18-game losing streak at the Palestra and remain unbeaten in the Ivy League.
Adam Gore had 19 points and Ryan Wittman 17 for the Big Red (21-5, 13-0), who set a school record for wins.
Tyler Bernardini had 25 points and Brian Grandieri 21 for the Quakers (11-18, 6-6), winners of the last three Ivy titles.
Penn led 69-60 with 12:02 remaining before going scoreless eight minutes while the Big Red scored 15 straight, including two driving layups by Dale, and a run punctuating 3-pointer by Gore.
Cornell led 91-81 with 33 seconds to go, but Harrison Gaines sparked an 11-2 run, and Bernardini's 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds remaining made it 93-92.
Wittman made 1 of 2 free throws at the 2.7 mark, and Bernardini had trouble getting off a 3-point shot in heavy traffic at the buzzer.
Cornell, the only team already in the NCAA tournament, plays at Princeton on Saturday night hoping to complete its first-undefeated Ivy League season.
